Friday's Field Trip

This information was also emailed to parents:

Our class is very excited for Friday's field trip to the Plum Creek Literacy Festival in Seward!  Along with other activities, our group will see presentations by Linda Sue Park (a Newbury Award winning author) and Brian Floca (a Caldecott winning illustrator).  For more information about their books, you can visit their websites: http://www.lindasuepark.com and http://brianfloca.com .

Field Trip Reminders:
*Students should wear regular school uniform items.
*Students need to bring their own sack lunch and drink.
*Students should bring their own bag for their items.  I'd recommend a small bag, like a "string backpack" that is easy to carry around.
***Students should arrive at school BY 7:30am - the bus leaves at 7:45am!***
*We will return to school by 3:30pm for regular dismissal.

If you don't already, you may want to follow our class Twitter account: https://twitter.com/4senechal or @4senechal .  I will post photos during our day!

Remember to check our classroom blog: www.senechal4snoopy@blogspot.com for our weekly newsletter and other class information.

Newsletter for September 6-9

I am excited that when we return to school after a nice, 3-day weekend, I'll be back at school with your children.  It has been such a blessing to be at home with Woodensky and Ruth!

A very special thank you to Mrs. Handke!  She has done a fabulous job of getting the year started with our class.  I know the students have been in good hands.

In class this week, the students read about some of our National Parks.  We are celebrating 100 years of the National Park Service.  Check out this link with details about how 4th grade students can get FREE National Park passes: https://www.nps.gov/kids/features/2015/everyKid.cfm .
