Summer is a great time to sign up for email notifications when I post to this blog.  The tool to do this is on the top left side of my blog.  This will allow you to get an email each time I post something new.  It's especially helpful during the school year, as I post newsletters or other important announcements.

Super Summer!

Now, I have some new "former 4th graders" and some new "future 4th graders". I hope all of you and your families are having a wonderful summer so far. I got to enjoy a trip to Colorado with my family, and now it is good to be home.

Several parents have asked for some summer activities to help keep their students' brains sharp! Here are a few possibilities:

*Participate in your local library's summer reading program!
*Play board games and card games with your family.
*Write letters or email messages to friends and family who live away from Omaha.
*Use a workbook like the ones here: http://www.summerbridgeactivities.org/ to help you review the skills you've learned.
*Play math games on your tablet, phone, or computer. Here are just a few good ones: Math Slicer App, Sushi Monster App, http://www.numbaland.com/, or https://www.varsitytutors.com/aplusmath .
